Weld mesh is the superior way of preventing access from all pest species within areas that may be at risk of extreme heavy pressure from both breeding birds and damage from other sources, such as vandalism. Installation can be costly due to the type and expense of the materials and labour. Therefore this method is nearly always used in conjunction with other methods, particularly netting.
Installation is with specially designed clips, of various widths and guages, that are riveted or screwed in situ and where required a Hilti cartridge gun is used to attach to surfaces such as metal.
Galvanised weldmesh can also be suitable for proofing small access points that would otherwise be expensive if netting or other sources were used.
