Shooting can be considered an option when the target bird can not be proofed due a method not being appropriate such as location or when cost is a major factor. Culling will not control a major infestation however for a single bird or as part of a bird management program it can be an appropriate method for control.

Under the general licence and subject to meeting the conditions we are able to control pigeons without informing the authorities however we generally notify the local police when shooting in areas of high population to prevent unnecessary callouts.

Before culling can commence a risk assessment has to be carried out to access the area and potential risk of a travelling pellet and this will be carried out by our trained operative who has several years of control and has undertaken specific courses for the control of birds via airguns.
